Kingaroy is considered the ‘hub’ of the South Burnett and is conveniently located from other major centres being approx 2.5 hours drive north-west of the Queensland’s capital, Brisbane, approx 2.5 hours from the stunning Sunshine Coast beaches, and just under 2 hours from the burgeoning city of fl owers, Toowoomba.
Kingaroy is home to the region’s public hospital, airport, regional council, several schools and the famous rich volcanic soils used for cultivating crops such as peanuts, navy beans and dubosia.
Major employers in the area include the Peanut Company of Australia (PCA), Swickers and Tarong Power Station.
Kingaroy is also famous for it’s tourist, art and heritage sites, beautiful bed & breakfast accommodation, restaurants & wineries, and the pristine Bunya Mountains.
